Soles brothers shine for Buxton Athletic Club
It was the junior contingent who shone at the highly competitive event, with strong performances from the Soles brothers in their age categories.
Sam Soles finished 34th out of 213 athletes in the U13 race, while Dan Soles was 50th out of 168 runners in the U15 event.

Hide AdIn the U20 event, David Fryer-Winder finished in 65th place.
Sol Clark was the only Buxton AC runner in the Senior Men’s race, completing the boggy 12km course in 52 minutes to finish in 129th place.
The club fielded a team of five in the Women’s event, with Elizabeth Nocton first home in 154th place, clocking 41 minutes for the 7.7km course.
Kate Ledin and Sheila Bradley, who were separated by just two seconds, finished in 192nd and 195th places, followed by Heather Fryer-Winder (263rd) and Wendy Bainbridge (293rd).

Hide AdLast weekend also saw the popular Kinder Trial orienteering event, which takes place out of Hayfield.

Hide AdMore than 100 runners completed the event, which covers an average of 10-12 miles, dependent upon route choice.
Peter Bailey completed the course in 2 hours 57 minutes to finish in 65th place. Aleks Kashefi (87th), Beverley Golden (99th) and Richard Bouglas (100th) also represented the club.
The next Pavilion Gardens 5K event will take place at 9am on Saturday 13th February.
