Running: Buxton juniors steal the show

First home in 17th place was Mark Pursell, followed by Mark Halsey 57th, Roland Meylan 71st, Pete Bailey 83rd, Gayle Hammond 108th, Frank Golden 138th, Dave Forshaw in 153rd, Bev Golden in 161st, and Alf Bailey in 179th.

Once again, the juniors showed the Seniors how it’s done by claiming 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Junior event.

Elliot Meylan, Louis Forshaw-Perring and Jacob Buckley claiming the finishes respectively.

One of the club’s newest juniors Lucas Parker was second in the under-12 category.

This was the last in the Hayfield Series of fell races and there were good finishes from Mark Pursell (4th), Roland Meylan (16th), Pete Bailey (23rd), Dave Forshaw (27th), Frank Golden (31st), Bev Golden (32nd).

At the Padfield Plum Fair Scamper, Jason Bennett led the Buxton contingent home in ninth place from a field of 80 runners.

Roland Meylan was 43rd, Pete Bailey 52nd, and Dave Forshaw 71st, whilst Elliot Meylan and Jacob Buckley were first and second respectively in the juniors.
