Buxton RUFC will begin the new season in a new league, after transferring to the Midlands Division.
The club will compete in Midlands 4 East North next year, and will kick off their campaign on Saturday September 13 away at Derby-based Rolls Royce.
The club’s first home match of the 2014-15 campaign will then be a week later, when they welcome Skegness to Sunnyfields.
Last season Buxton finished fifth in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three.
The move to the Midlands league will see them face more local sides next season, with the likes of Belper, Long Eaton and Worksop all in the same division.
The club has also announced a batch of friendly matches in anticipation of the new season.
Dronfield will be the visitors on Saturday August 16 (2.30pm) before Buxton travel to Amber Valley seven days later (August 23).
Meanwhile, the club has been drawn away to Ashfield in the opening round of the NLD Plate.
That match takes place a week before the new season, on Saturday September 6.
Last season the club reached the final of the competition, but were humbled 41-0 by Boston.
Elsewhere, the club has received a bye into next season’s Derbyshire Cup semi-final due to the vast amount of teams entering.
