The news comes after the Bucks lost 2-1 at Barwell on Saturday, leaving them 15th in the Evo-Stik Premier Division and ten points behind the play-off places.

McIntosh took over at the Silverlands in February 2012, helping guide the club clear from relegation danger and then proceeding to oversee three top ten finishes, including just missing out on the play-offs last season.

A club statement said: "The chairman and directors wish to express their thanks and gratitude to Martin for the job he has done over the past six years, undoubtedly saving 'the Bucks' from relegation in the three months after his arrival in February 2012, developing young players and always acting in a thoroughly professional manner to enhance the club's profile. We wish him well for the future."

McIntosh declined to comment on his departure when approached by the Advertiser on Wednesday but confirmed he will do so in the coming days.
