New Mills fell to another defeat in Evo-Stik Division One North on Saturday, this time at the hands of Droylsden.
In an end-to-end first half the Millers were made to rue a missed one-on-one when Droylsden were given a penalty and it was dispatched by Brandon Zibaka after 17 minutes.
The floodgates opened in the second-half when Droylsden took complete control, firstly when James Hampson headed in at the back post after 49 minutes then a quickfire double from Dominic Smith on 63 and 66 minutes made it an unassailable lead to the Bloods.
New Mills dominated the closing 15 minutes play and got a reward for their effort when Jack Pritchard followed in a parried free-kick to make it 4-1, but the damage had been done.
This weekend the Millers have a no game so are next in action when they travel to Scarborough Athletic on November 7.
