Rebekah and Gabe grab golds

Hope Valley College students Rebekah Heath and Gabe Wraight both secured Gold medals at the recent Derbyshire Athletics Championships.

Year 8 student Rebekah was named county champion in the Long Jump.

Team-mate and Year 9 student Gabe achieved the same accolade in the High Jump event.

Another college student to appear on the podium was Miles Ralston, who claimed a silver in the discus.

The college also saw Joe Smith (300m), Eve Seymour (High Jump) and James Hall (Javelin) all claim bronze to cap off a successful event.
