Quartet of Buxton riders tackle tough conditions

Buxton Cycling Club’s Mostyn Bullock posted a respectable finish of 13th in the Stretford Wheelers 25 in Cheshire recently.

On a windy day in tough conditions, Bullock came home in a time of 58 minutes and 49 seconds.

Fellow member Nick Bowden wasn’t far behind on 1:00:34, whilst Sam Bowden (1.11.49) and Sam Mansfield (1.13.37) also entered the race.

• Luke Beswick continued his fine run of form to take 14th place in the Richard Hoyland Memorial Road Race at Stainton in Yorkshire.

• In the Snake Pass Hill Climb Sam Clark came home in fourth place with a time of 13 minutes, 17 seconds.

Bhima Bowden was fifth with a time of 13:24 whilst Stuart Baker finished 14th with 14:48.

The race winner Tejvan Pettinger broke the course record with a time of 11 36.6.
