After a short stoppage due to a Wulfric injury, Buxton were back with vengeance.

Kay Woodhead hit the ball up the pitch to allow Thea Whatley to pick up in the attacking D, earning a penalty corner and were unfortunate not to score.

With a strong press, Buxton managed to keep the ball at the attacking end of the pitch, however, strong hits from Wulfric saw it back in the defensive D.

Despite fantastic saves from keeper Molly Shaw who slid out to stop players from scoring, another scrappy goal just passed the defence with a 2-0 score before half time.

Wendy Pearson on the other wing worked well up and down the pitch, giving the midfield options. Naomi Sessions managed to pick up the ball in defence, making a great run up the pitch before crossing the ball to the attacking D unfortunately being picked up by Wulfric defence.

After Laura Turner stopped the ball with another brilliant press, the ball was passed to Lauryn Higgins-Brown who dribbled to the D before being stick tackled, causing another penalty corner.

With this, Buxton were close to scoring, however, could not beat the Wulfric goalkeeper. Wulfric continued to make long hits down the pitch to their attacking players, with Rebecca Perring channelling well to keep them out the defensive D where possible.

Despite the perseverance of the defence Buxton conceded two further goals.
