Buxton golfer hits landmark membership
A member of Buxton and High Peak Golf Club has celebrated a landmark 75 years at the club.
John Armitt joined the club as a member back in August 1945 and went on to forge a successful career.
He followed in the footsteps of father Joe by winning many trophies and honours, including the President's Prize in 1992.
Mr Armitt no longer players golf but is still a regular visit to the clubhouse.
