WES DURSTON and Jonathan Clare have both penned new deals with Derbyshire County Cricket Club.
Clare has signed a three-year contract which commits him to the County Ground until the conclusion of the 2014 season.
The 25-year-old all-rounder has made 34 first-class appearances for the club since making his debut late in the 2007 campaign.
Head Coach Karl Krikken said: “Jon has all the talent and attributes to succeed both as a batsman and a bowler. He also brings an excellent attitude and work ethic to the camp. I’m delighted he will be here for at least the next three years.”
Batting all-rounder Durston has signed a new two-year contract. The 30-year-old former Somerset man has been a consistent performer since joining the Falcons midway through the 2010 campaign, and so far this year has scored a combined tally of 1,403 runs.
Durston said: “Clearly I’m very grateful to Derbyshire for handing me the opportunity of resurrecting my professional career and I’ve been pleased to be able to reward them with some decent performances.”
