The latest round of High Peak Netball League saw four fixtures take place.

The evening started with the C Division meeting between Goodies and Kraken.

Goodies soon took a lead with Megan Wood shooting her team into an 8-2 lead at the break.

Kraken fought on valiantly and Caitlin Peach was excellent in defence, but Goodies had control of the tie and saw out the game for a 17-3 success.

Next up was the top-tier clash between Cobras and Taxal.

In a close-fought game Cobras had the edge, leading 8-5 at the interval.

The second half continued at the same pace and with Hannah Wood in defence for Cobras and Charlotte Coulston at the back for Taxal, the shooting opportunities were kept to the minimum for both sides.

Cobras though managed to hold on for a narrow 15-10 win.

Another A Division meeting followed, with Ladybugs facing Glossop and it was the former who led 7-3 at the break, despite some good shooting from Glossop’s Sally Hadfield.

After the break, and with Halina Dawson controlling the game, Ladybugs extended their lead to hold on for a 15-6 win.

The final game of the night was back to the C Division as Chinley B took on Chinley C.

The B side held an 8-4 advantage heading into the break, and after a similar second period, it was the B’s who ran out 19-7 winners.
