Tennis club plots busy summer

New Mills Tennis Club held their Men’s Open Singles tournament last weekend.

With many close matches throughout the day it was a hard-fought path to the final, however Peter Simon and Chris Morton duly won their matches and will now face off for the trophy.

That match is set to be staged at a later date, some time in July.

Meanwhile, this coming Sunday (July 6) to coincide with the men’s Wimbledon Final, there will be an Open Morning at the club for prospective members.

The event will be running from 10am until 1pm.

The club are also busy planning a raft of tournaments and events throughout the summer and beyond.

The club hosts a Men’s Open Doubles tournament on Sunday July 13.

That event gets underway at 1pm.
