A team from Buxton Swimming Club came back from a weekend competition at Stoke last week with a sackful of medals.
Their haul included five gold, two silver and eight bronze.
Matthew Foreman took gold in 9yr boys 100m back and a bronze medal in 100m individual medley, while Pierre Ainscow earned gold in open boys 50m freestyle, 100mfreestyle, 50m back, 100m butterfly and much coveted speeding tickets in 50m butterfly and 100m individual medley.
Isobel Stokes took bronze in 11 years girls 50m breast, 200m breast and 200 individual medley, Amelia Young silver in 10 years girls 200m breast, Ellenor Turner bronze in 13 years girls 200m individual medley, Louis Ecob bronze in 10 year boys 100m freestyle and Ethan Nevett silver in the 14 years boys 100m breast and bronze in 100m Butterfly and 200m freestyle.
Head coach Daf Bouchier said: “It’s a wonderful result for the club so early in the season and puts them in a good position for the Derbyshire Sprints in November.”
