The final match in the tri-series between High Peak Netball Club under-16s and the Buxton Back-to-Netball Group finished with a 21-21 draw - ensuring spoils were shared over the course of the three contests.
With one win apiece, there was all to play for heading into this finale.
In the first quarter the under-16s forged ahead with almost 100% shooting stats as they led 10-4 at the break.
In the second quarter the Back to Netball players were up to speed and the match was much more even, although Buxton’s four-point buffer remained intact at 13-9.
After half-time the Back to Netball group came into their own and forged ahead with some good attacking play and shooting.
Their defence put in some good interceptions and Back to Netball won the quarter 7-2, putting them one point in front.
The final quarter was frenetic with plenty of unforced errors.
However, there was also some good defensive play by both teams.
Both sides were scoring goal for goal with Back to Netball remaining one goal in the lead, until the last few seconds when the under-16s drew level.
No team could then get the lead, and the game remained a draw at 21 goals each.
