THERE is plenty at stake for local competitors as the Darley Moor Motorcycle Road Race Championship enters the second half of its season on Sunday July 22 at the circuit near Wynaston, Ashbourne.
Whaley Bridge’s Alex Gallemore trails the leader in the Steel Framed 600 class by 17 points, and is 32 points off top spot in the Pre 98 (up to 1,300cc) class.
William Green, from Buxton, is currently third in the Formula 125 class, but has just a seven-point deficit to make up for second place.
Martyn Green currently sits second in the Sound of Thunder class with only three points to the leader, while Flagg’s Robert Garmory is just two points off the pace in the Pre 98 (up to 500cc).
Practice starts at 10am, with the first of 19 races due to start at approximately 11.30am. Admission is £11 for adults, £6 for senior citizens and free for kids under-16. Parking and paddock transfer is free.
