Buxton Squash Club held their annual tournament at Fairfield Centre over the festive period.
To lower everyone to a similar standard, the matches were played with traditional wooden rackets.
The best players were further handicapped, with Rick Walters wearing a suit in an attempt to limit his speed and reach around the court.
He kept the jacket buttoned up and appeared to be only marginally slower, but definitely overheating.
Keith Tolley, the highest ranked player in the tournament, was limited by a shoulder injury that hampered him so much that he finished in last place.
The overall winner, taking the golden racket, was Howard Pearson.
Meanwhile, at the turning point in the season Buxton’s first team is two points off a promotion place.
Elsewhere, the second team are settling into their first season in the North West Counties Squash League.
