Buxton ABC junior Keanan Bates has been busy competing a frantic end to his maiden season.
After a campaign of hard work and dedication in the gym, the 11-year-old approached his third bout in Sheffield against opposition from the famous Brendan Ingle gym with confidence.
From the first bell it was clear this was a difficult assignment, against a very tough and skilled debutant.
The Sheffield fighter put the pressure on from the start to secure the first round.
Determined, and up against it, Bates stepped up his game in round two throwing more shots, leading off and taking risks to land with his clean work.
This ensured he levelled it up in round two.
Setting up a third round showdown, and against a hometown crowd, Bates put everything he had in to a close last round.
Both youngsters boxed excellently as they put on a memorable show for the crowd.
The last session was close but Keanan had done enough with his constant work rate to take a deserved victory.
One week on Bates was in action again in South Derbyshire and was forced to work hard once again to take a second win and end a successful first season.
