Dame Sarah Storey has been selected to represent Great Britain at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Greenville, South Carolina later this month.
The call-up marks a return to world-level road racing for the Disley rider, who took a break following the birth of her daughter last year.
Storey is one of five riders selected for the event, which runs from August 28 until September 1.
Current B/VI time trial world champions Lora Turnham and Corrine Hall have made selection, as has David Stone who will start the T2 road race as the defending champion.
Karen Darke completes the line-up having had successful results at this season’s World Cup series.
Technical Director Shane Sutton said he was looking forward to Storey’s return: “Dame Sarah has returned to form and we’ve seen she’s back to her winning ways on the track so I’m looking forward to seeing this form transition onto the road.”
