Clubs across Derbyshire, including a number from the High Peak, are backing National Golf Month with great value activities to support the drive to get more people playing the game.
National Golf Month will be held across the UK in May and Derbyshire’s clubs will offer a wide range of opportunities to attract beginners and returners to the sport.
They include open days with free taster sessions, family fun days, reduced rate green fees and beginner five-week coaching courses for just £25.
National Golf Month is a major campaign to offer beginners and 100,000 lapsed golfers opportunities to try the game.
It’s being driven by the Bauer Media Group and the British Golf Industry Association (BGIA) and is supported by England Golf through the Get into golf campaign, which is run by the national network of County Golf Partnerships.
Local clubs that are involved include: New Mills GC, Chapel GC, Hope Works GC, Cavendish GC and Peak Practice Driving Range.
