Buxton’s Christian Iddon has signed for the TYCO BMW squad for the new British Superbikesseason.
Having had his first full season in BSB in 2015, Iddon spoke of his excitement by the move to the official BMW team.
He said: “This is an amazing moment for me to be with the TYCO BMW squad. They are one of the longest standing teams in BSB and always put out great bikes.
“I really can’t wait to get on the bike and get the feeling with the BMW.
“I have already been out to the workshop and met some of the guys in the crew and it is clear what a professional set up this is and I really feel like they have everything in place to get me to the front.
“It is the only team to get both riders into the showdown last year and they won the last race of the year so I guess I have no excuses.
“I’ve also been around the S1000RR on track plenty of times during 2015 and I know how good it looks so for me I’m just excited to get out for the first test to see how it feels for myself, get a feeling with the bike and be in the best place possible to start the 2016 season.
“I really can’t wait to get it all underway.”
