Buxton thirds take a bite out of Atherstone Adders


Buxton Hockey Club’s thirds a bite out of the Atherstone Adders with a 2-1 victory.

The thirds were pushing high in the Atherstone half but couldn’t score.

However Buxton took lead the lead when Josh Stanway injected the ball to Dan Lowton who flicked over the keeper’s foot into the bottom left corner.

In the second half Buxton carried on playing great hockey and got a second goal when the ball bobbled to Adam Cook and he slotted it in the bottom corner. Buxton carried on pressing but got caught on the counter attack and conceded a late goal.

However Buxton didn’t let their heads drop and carried on playing great hockey, rattling the opposition and showing why they are second in their league.

Man of the Match was Adam Cook.
