Buxton and District Athletics Club’s junior section made a real impression at this year’s Dovedale Dash - by sealing a 1-2-3-4 finish at the event!
1,110 competitors took part in the four-and-three-quarter-mile cross country race along fields, paths and open countryside in the valleys of the rivers Dove and Manifold.
And Buxton AC youngsters rose to the occasion as they ensured a famous day for the club.
In his first outing running for the club, 12-year-old Finn Moffett won the Mart Cup for being the first under-14 home as he finished 16th overall.
Also running for the club was Elliot Meylan who came 29th overall and as a result he was second-fastest under-14.
Jacob Buckley came in as fourth under-14, while Louis Forshaw-Perring completed the prize set with third place in the under-18’s competition, with Helen Thornhill coming as 10th quickest under-18 and the first Buxton female home.
