Buxton head to the West Midlands to face in form Birmingham in the National Trophy at Perry Barr on Wednesday night, 7.30pm.
The Hitmen have drafted in Ryan Terry-Daley as a guest for David Wallinger while they will operate rider replacement for Connor Coles.
The Brummies’ who have not lost at home this season and have failed to hit below the 50-point mark only once this season against Mildenhall will be a stern test for the Hitmen.
Team boss Joshua Moss said: “It is going to be extremely difficult against a Birmingham side that is in very good form and had an 18-point victory around their home circuit against fellow title contenders Eastbourne last week.
“We will do our best and see how things go. It will be good experience for the younger lads in the team as any track time is and we will see what happens.”
Birmingham will give a debut to James Shanes who replaces Jack Parkinson Blackburn after he suffered a should injury which adds solid support to the Brummies’ top two in Tom Bacon and Danyon Hume who are then supported by Layne Cupitt and Callum Walker.
