Lauren leads way for cross-country joy
Freezing conditions did not deter Buxton AC youngsters from putting in fine performances in the last round of the Derby Cross-Country Mini League at Moorways Stadium.
Lauren Wilshaw led the way, coming first by nearly 20 seconds in the under-13 girls’ race. The under-15 girls’ team of Ellie Wilson and Heather Wilshaw were second and sixth overall, giving the team a league position of second overall.
At the Lyme Park Park run, Sam Soles and Amy Whelan were first male and female junior runners with Sam first overall and Amy seventh lady overall.
