Hotshot Tuton relishing new challenge after Halifax move
Tuton, 23, has signed a one-year deal with the Shaymen having impressed in the Evo-Stik League with the likes of the Bucks, Matlock Town and Belper Town in recent seasons.
Three goals in pre-season matches for Neil Aspin’s men convinced the Halifax manager to do a deal for the promising front man, who now hopes playing at a higher level will enhance his ability even further.

“The full-time aspect hasn’t been too difficult to adapt to as I’ve always kept fit during the day when not training anyway, and I’ve fitted in really quickly here which helps too.
“There are quite a few new signings so we’ve all been in a similar boat during pre-season matches in terms of trying to impress the manager.
“I had options to move into the Conference North last year but ideally wanted to get into this division if I could. I nearly joined Luton earlier in the summer but we couldn’t finalise a deal. Halifax then came in for me and things have gone really well.”

“Buxton boss Martin McIntosh has been brilliant as he’s given me lots of advice on things while I’ve been on trial at Halifax and it’s really helped.
“I just hope now, both on a team and personal level, that the season starts well and we can make a push for promotion in what is a really tough division. I believe the team we have here is good enough.”
Tuton has been given squad number 18 at The Shay and will be hoping to feature when Town open their season at Boreham Wood on Saturday and then at home to Chester next Tuesday night.
