Horse-racing ‘Tip Of The Day’

What a relief to get back on the winners’ board yesterday. Now it’s all guns blazing for the rest of the month.

INFINITE HOPE

Kempton 8.00 EACH/WAY

Luca Cumani’s well-bred filly was deeply disappointing under a curious ride at Folkestone last time. But prior to that, she had looked a progressive type, so both she and rider Kirsty Milczarek deserve the chance to make amends tonight. The three-year-old, who hails from the family of Cumani’s 1993 Irish 2,000 Guineas winner, Barathea, did not see a racecourse until June but showed enormous promise on her Goodwood debut, particularly as the race was run over an inadequate trip. She’s bred to relish the 12f she tackles today and, as a US-bred daughter of Dynaformer, she could well improve for her first taste of Kempton’s Polytrack. It’s a competitive heat but the trainer has a respectable record at the course, particularly in three-year-old handicaps like this, and the filly merits an each/way squeak.
