Liverpool legend Phil Neal was at the Silverlands on Friday to speak about the impending clash between a team of Buxton and Liverpool legends.
The two sides will meet in the Peak District on Sunday, July 19 (2pm) with former players from both sides set to take to the turf.
Neal, who won 22 major trophies in 11 years with the Reds, has already persuaded the likes of Jason McAteer, John Aldridge and Jan Molby to head to Buxton and is now inviting as many people as possible to head down.
He said: “We hope the sun will shine and we have a good day on July 19.
“The boys will love to get out there and whoever is playing against us will get a little taste and so will the crowd.
“Players are still determined to win, whether it’s Barcelona or Buxton - it doesn’t matter!”
