TWO MORE players have put pen to paper and signed for Buxton FC.
Last Saturday, Bradwell-based Greg Moseley, fit again after suffering injury in pre-season, signed non-contract forms for the Silverlands club, as did much-travelled centre-back Karl Colley two days earlier.
Still only 27, Colley has had extensive non-league experience after starting out with Newcastle United and then Sheffield United. His early clubs included Frickley, Halifax, Hucknall and Bradford Park Avenue, before he played alongside Scott Maxfield and Steve Ridley at Barrow.
He later joined Nicky Law at Alfreton Town after the manager left the Silverlands in 2007. Last season he joined Division One South club Goole, from Sutton Town, and earlier in pre-season was with Sheffield FC. He made his debut for the Bucks on Tuesday night at Hednesford.
Buxton will be aiming to bounce back after successive league defeats when they visit newly-promoted Chorley on Saturday (kick-off 3pm), before the Bucks return to the Silverlands on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45pm) to face another promoted side in Rushall Olympic, who drew at well-fancied Chester on the opening day of the season.
The following Saturday, Buxton entertain FC United of Manchester. The match will be all-ticket, priced at £10 and £7. Tickets are available from the club on 01298 23197 or at the Rushall match.
