Staveley Miners Welfare U21s ended the season on a high by lifting the HKL North Midland League Cup after a 2-1 win over their Buxton counterparts.

Staveley had already finished the season in third, four points behind champions Ilkeston, and behind Carlton Town but above Sheffield FC in fourth. After a goalless first half, Kurt Morley’s penalty four minutes after the break and a Ryan Walters strike two minutes later put Staveley in to a lead. John Ollerenshaw pulled one back for Buxton in injury time.
