Diego Degirolamo bagged a brace in the victory, with all the Bucks’ goals coming in the first half.

Paul Phillips’ men hit the front on 21 minutes, Degirolamo playing in Jude Oyibo who cut inside his man and found the net.

Oyibo turned provider 10 minutes later and it was Degirolamo with the finish this time.

Six minutes before half-time the former Chesterfield striker added his second, running onto an Alex Brown ball over the top and making it 3-0.

And Buxton were in dreamland three minutes later, Ash Grayson setting up Brown to secure the win.

Stafford Rangers eventually got a consolation, Joshua Green pulling a goal back in the 64th minute, although not before Oyibo had hit the post as the Bucks threatened to add a fifth.

Buxton sit third in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier, a point behind leaders South Shields after eight games.

On Tuesday they’re at home to Colwyn Bay in the League Cup.
