Whaley Bridge make the short trip to Poynton on Saturday looking to build upon their impressive 3-0 home victory over Billinge last time out.
With no fixture last weekend Jon Brogden’s men will be fresh as they look to complete a league double over Poynton.
Whaley ran out 3-1 winners in the corresponding fixture back in August; goals from Joe Burgess, Jason Broome and Bill Sutton ensured the points on that occasion.
Saturday’s hosts currently sit one place and one point above Whaley in the table meaning the visitors could leapfrog their opponents with a win.
Poynton, who were promoted as Division Two champions last season, have adapted well this year and come into the game unbeaten in five games having scored 19 goals in that period.
Meanwhile, Whaley have struggled for form of late winning just three out of their last seven.
However, after the morale-boosting win over Billinge, Brogden implored his players to use the result as a springboard for the remainder of their season.
Whaley have a full strength squad to pick from at the weekend, a luxury that they have seldom been afforded this season.
Top scorer Dan Christie, with eight goals to his name so far, is set to lead the line.
