Peak teams bidding for place in Derbyshire Cup final

BUXTON FC and New Mills AFC bid for a place in the final of the Derbyshire Senior Cup on Wednesday.

The Bucks, who were reinstated into the competition after their quarter-final victors Ilkeston fielded an ineligible player, host fellow Evo-Stik Premier Division strugglers Mickleover Sports in the last four of the county cup competition at the Silverlands (kick-off 7.45pm).

The match will be Martin McIntosh’s first game in charge of Buxton, last season’s beaten Senior Cup finalists, following the Scotsman’s recent appointment as manager.

Entry on the gate will be at the special price of £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.

Meanwhile, following their quarter-final win over Gresley, New Mills AFC travel to Christchurch Meadow, the home of Belper Town FC, to face cup holders Derby County. This game kicks-off at 7.30pm.

A supporters’ coach will depart Church Lane at 5pm. To reserve a seat, priced £7, contact the club on 01663 747435.
