The identity of New Mills’ new manager is poised to be unveiled today (Thursday) after extended talks with all the remaining candidates came to a conclusion.
The Millers, who parted company with Roy Soule last month, have whittled down the number of contenders to three.
Club treasurer Patrick Kenyon has confirmed that the club’s hierarchy have taken their time to peruse the qualities of each individual candidate.
He told the Advertiser: “We’ve got a handful of candidates left and I’d say that there’s three who could really make a really strong case.
“They’re all motivated to succeed and we expect to have made the decision by Wednesday, ready to be revealed on Thursday.
“We have to work out which option is the best fit for the football club.”
