BUXTON Football Club’s all-time leading goalscorer Mark Reed has put pen to paper on a new contract which will see him stay on at the Silverlands next season.
Reed, who has signed for the 2012-13 season, headed last season’s scoring list with 22 goals - taking his overall club total to 213.
Several other of last season’s players have also agreed terms and are expected soon to put pen to paper.
Meanwhile, boss Martin McIntosh has assembled a list of targets to add further quality to the squad which finished the season in such fine style, and is in discussion with a number of them.
Elsewhere, loan star Bradley Barraclough, who scored 11 goals during his 18-game stay at the Silverlands and was the supporters’ choice for player of the season, has signed a new one-year deal with his parent club Lincoln City.
However, midfielder Ollie Banks, who came on loan mid-season from Rotherham United and subsequently had a similar spell with Stalybridge Celtic, has been released by his League Two club.
