Nailers poised to welcome newcomers Rugby Town

The Nailers will host league newcomers Rugby Town in the preliminary round of this year’s competition.

The provisional date for the match has been set for Tuesday, September 15.

Any game not played due to an FA Cup Replay will be scheduled for Tuesday, October 6.

Meanwhile, the club is preparing to stage its second golf day on Wednesday, September 30.

Hosted in conjunction with Marston’s Brewery, the format will include both individual and team stableford (four players per team) with a range of prizes on offer for the winners in both categories and also for a number of special challenges across the course.

The event takes place at the Championship Manor Course at Morley Hayes GC, just outside Derby.

The day will kick off at 9.30am with tea, coffee and bacon rolls in the Spike Bar with the first players teeing off at 10.30am.

Following the rounds there will be a presentation event at which the winners will receive their prizes and everyone will enjoy a pie and peas supper.
