Millers look for an end to washouts this weekend

Mills will be hoping to finally get some match action under their belts this weekend after seeing a third consecutive home clash fall victim to the weather last Saturday.

Following postponements against Bamber Bridge and Prescot Cables, last week’s scheduled game against Lancaster City was called off around 10am following a pitch inspection at Church Lane.

This Saturday Roy Soule’s side travel to Northwich Victoria, as they aim to claw themselves away from a potential relegation battle.

The Millers are currently just seven points above second-bottom Radcliffe.

• Millers’ reserve team will aim to reach another final of the Derbyshire Divisional Cup this Saturday.

New Mills, who won the competition last season, host Bradwell Sports at Church Lane (2pm).
