Left-back Jamie Green, who is Buxton’s longest-serving player, has committed himself to his fifth Silverlands season.
Green, who has made 168 appearances, began his career at Rotherham United with 66 first-team appearances and one of his two goals was the last scored by a Rotherham player at the old Millmoor ground.
However, injury disrupted his career, but after brief spells with Grimsby Town, Rossington and the then Worksop Parramore, he signed for Martin McIntosh and made his debut in a 1-1 draw at Whitby Town in February 2013.
Elsewhere, several former Buxton players have moved on at higher levels of the non-league pyramid.
Jamie’s predecessor at left-back, Josh Wilde, has followed manager Billy Heath from North Ferriby United to FC Halifax Town.
Winger Craig King has moved from Bradford Park Avenue to newly-promoted Salford City, while as many as five former Buxton players have joined Gainsborough Trinity in National League North.
At Step 3, centre-halves Brad Gascoigne (from Stamford to Corby Town) and Tom Burgin (from Matlock to Mickleover Sports) have also changed clubs.
