One of Glossop North End’s junior sides certainly look the part for the 2016/17 football season.
For they have been sponsored by leading housebuilder Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, whose generous £400 donation has helped to provide the youngsters with brand new kits.
Dave Rowlinson, manager of Glossop North End U10s, said: “We are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their support. The kids love their new kits and are really looking forward to showing them off at future games.”
The club, which was founded in 1989, now has more than 260 boys and girls playing, with teams covering ages six to U18s. They train close to Taylor Wimpey’s recently-opened Laurel View development in Glossop.
Anne Bagshaw, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire, said: “We understand the important role that sports clubs, such as Glossop North End, play in the community, as they give local children the opportunity to get active and make some new friends in the process.
“Our Laurel View development is only around the corner from where the teams train, so we’re looking forward to seeing many of our residents on the sidelines cheering on the next generation of sporting talent.
“We wish the team all the best for the season, and hope that their new kits bring them some good luck.”
