Glossop North End 2-1 Trafford: Veteran Mark Reed nets late winner
Veteran and former Buxton legend Mark Reed popped up with ten minutes to go to pinch all three points for the Hillmen.
Although he never announced that his boots were hung up, Reed was only seen once in the first half of 2015-16.

Hide AdHowever, he was back on the bench for the Brighouse game at the end of February, and has now scored in both subsequent games.
His winning goal celebration certainly suggests he still enjoys it.
Both sides started brightly, forcing early corners but it was the hosts who were to take the lead.
Jason Carey applied the finishing touch on 19 minutes after strong pressing from North End.

Hide AdA few chances went begging for Glossop and eventually Trafford’s persistence paid off when they restored parity just before the hour.

Hide AdLiam Davies charged down a clearance and the ball fell nicely for him behind the backline and he proceeded to lash home from 15 yards.
Gradually North End got themselves back into the game before the winner arrived.
Tom Bailey got a second chance to deliver a cross after his first effort was blocked.

Trafford upped their efforts again, and with five minutes left a free-kick from the right was swung in, missed everyone, then hit the inside of the post.

North End, meanwhile, ticked off another game with a win.
They are now fourth in the Evo-Stik First Division North table and welcome Ossett Town to Surrey Street on Saturday.
