Buxton FC boss steps down

BUXTON FC manager Nicky Law has left the Silverlands to take charge at Conference North side Alfreton Town.

A post on Buxton FC's official website www.buxtonfc.co.uk said today: "Nicky has said a big thanks to all the officials and supporters of the club for a superb last two and a half years, but felt it was time to move onwards and hopes everybody would understand and respect his decision.

"The backroom staff of Chris Marples and Russ O'Neill will follow Nicky to the Impact Arena."

Since taking over at the Silverlands, Law has led the side to the NCEL Premier Division and the UniBond First Division titles, in addition to three Presidents Cups.

Buxton FC chairman Tony Tomlinson said: "We had a fantastic two and a half years under Nicky Law and we are very sorry he is going but that is football and that is life."
