“BUXTON®’s partnership with the Academy has helped us develop the careers of our promising footballers and we are thrilled to have their support for a second year,” he said.

“The recovery phase post Covid-19 will be challenging and there’s never been a more important time to invest in the next generation.”

Warren Plaskett, Head of Marketing for Nestlé Waters UK who own the Buxton brand, said they were delighted to get involved.

He said: “We are extremely impressed by what the Academy has achieved so far, both for the young players and the town itself.

Now in its second year, the Academy’s advanced physical and academic programme aims to nurture aspiring footballers and provide young people with the transferrable skills needed to build successful careers, both on and off the pitch.

This year, BUXTON® has expanded its package to include content sharing across its social and digital channels to amplify the Academy and its shared ambitions. The brand will also provide complementary health and hydration education aligned with the academic programme.
