Buxton have signed striker Evan Garnett on a one-month loan deal from National League North side Alfreton Town.
Garnett (22) came through the Burton Albion academy and his scoring exploits at reserve team level earned him a professional contract with the Brewers, but a serious injury hampered his development and he was released in the summer of 2013.
He had previously had a loan spell at Hucknall Town and after spells at Worksop Town and Ilkeston he hit the headlines with his scoring prowess at his home-town club Belper at the start of last season.
He transfered to Kidderminster Harriers last January before moving to Alfreton in the summer.
Garnett went straight into the Bucks squad at Corby on Saturday along with former Fleetwood Town right-back Matty Williams.
Meanwhile, two players have been released from the Silverlands this week; right-back Reece Lucas and left-back Adam Sumner who has signed for Lancaster City.
