McIntosh left his role as manager on Wednesday after six years at the helm, the Bucks currently lying 15th in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.

Ryan, who was McIntosh's assistant, has now agreed to take the team for this weekend's visit of league leaders Altrincham to the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium, and thereafter until a new manager is installed.

Buxton have invited applications for the managerial vacancy, as they aim to replace McIntosh who, speaking to the Advertiser after his dismissal, praised the club and its hierarchy and said he understood and accepted the club's decision.
