Buxton FC were given an early pre-season boost after two influential players from last season signed contracts for the upcoming campaign.
Winger Craig King and striker Liam Hardy have both put pen to paper having impressed during 2013-14.
King was the Bucks’ top appearance maker last season, turning out 54 times and scoring nine goals.
His performances last season caught the eye of many clubs higher up the pyramid, with one Conference Premier side lodging a five-figure bid for the 23-year-old.
Despite the advance, King indicated to manager Martin McIntosh that he wanted to stay at the Silverlands, and his signing of a new deal will be a welcome boost to the club.
Hardy meanwhile, enjoyed a prolific loan spell at the tail end of last season scoring seven in nine outings.
The 23-year-old hitman quickly became a fans’ favourite and agreed terms after being released by parent club Harrogate Town earlier this week.
