Bradbury dazzles on Sawyeds debut

A Division

Tideswell United 4.........................

Buxton Christians 2......................

Tideswell United yet again had their groundstaff to thank for another excellent playing surface as Buxton Christians were the visitors to Pursglove.

The first half was all about the Sawyeds as they carved open the Christians with ease.

Mike Grindey opened the scoring with a simple finish, after good work from debutant Jack Bradbury.

Bradbury opened his account for the club as he found the bottom corner when Grindey repaid the favour.

The best move of the match resulted in the third goal as Grindey finished off a sublime move involving Lockwood and Bradbury.

Soon after the break, Mark Dunn gave the visitors a lifeline as they camped in the Tideswell half.

United rode out the storm and Bradbury capped a perfect debut, finishing off Callum Burns’ cross to all but end any chances of a comeback.

The predatory Paul Sullivan hit his 28th goal of the season at the death, but this couldn’t stop United securing a much-deserved three points.
