Derbyshire residents urged to get active during May

Derbyshire folk are being asked to put their best foot forward this May by showing support for National Walking Month.

The Derbyshire Sport Challenge is inviting all businesses and organisations across the county to record walking activity during May, with the workplace that collectively walks the furthest distance will be crowned the winner and claim a prize.

The Challenge runs alongside National Walking Month, which will feature Walk to Work Week from 11th to 15th May.

There are also ‘Midday Mile’ events taking place simultaneously across the country at noon, including one organised by Derbyshire Sport, but you can also arrange your own.
