
The Cricket Derbyshire Academy, in partnership with the University of Derby graduate, who made his debut for the county in 2014, featured in 12 first-class matches in 2015 claiming 33 dismissals behind the stumps.
The 19-year-old - who holds the club record for most dismissals in a first-class match with 11 – also registered his maiden first-class fifty last summer, hitting 61 in the victory against Gloucestershire at Bristol.
Elite Performance Director, Graeme Welch said: “Harvey is an exciting talent and an exceptional wicketkeeper – and we must also remember he’s only 19.
“Since making his debut, Harvey has performed well with the gloves and continues to show improvements with the bat. His challenge now is to score runs on a consistent basis and contribute to winnings games for the county.”
