Buxton U17s won their Compstall Cup quarter final match against Chapel U17s with a convincing 10 wicket victory last Thursday.
Chapel batted first and Tom Lisser removed both openers with good length deliveries.
Emmit batted solidly, but wickets kept falling at the other end, including two runouts to good Buxton fielding.
Leg spinner Alex Hawley bowled beautifully to take three wickets, while slow left armer Dan Capell wrapped up the innings with successive wickets as Chapel finished on 45 all out.
In reply captain Seb Betts and David Oldfield ran superbly between the wickets and dominated the bowling.
In six overs they knocked off the required runs. Buxton now look forward to the semi-final where sterner tests await.
