Tight on marking players, Buxton were often frustrated by Matlock’s defence although Lizzie Potts managed to get free long enough to get her first goal for the club on her debut to give Buxton a second goal.
Buxton players were fighting hard for every ball at this point which resulted in Naomi Sessions getting a nasty knock on the hand and Eleanor Shaw limping off with an ankle injury.
At half-time the score was 2-1 to Buxton.
The second half was again full of end to end play with both sides chasing for another goal.

Despite this Buxton were determined to come away with at least a share of the points and dug deep to maintain the draw at the final whistle.
