FOLLOWING two recent wins, Buxton slumped to a home defeat at the hands of Tintwistle on Saturday.
The visitors won the toss and put the Bucks in to bat first. Wickets fell at regular intervals and when Bob Marsden was dismissed for 21, Buxton had slipped to 55-6.
Nick Smith and Phil Bentley put on 33 for the seventh wicket before Bentley was run out for eight.
Smith top-scored with 25 and Matthew Poole chipped-in with 16 to leave Buxton defending a meagre total of 118.
In reply, Tintwistle put on 63 for the first wicket before Scott Mackenzie (1-24) struck to dismiss R Harris for 38.
Phil Bentley chipped in with 2-42 and, together with Mackenzie, applied the brakes to the visiting batsmen. Tintwistle eventually reached their target for the loss of just three wickets from 38 overs.
